E. Coli Detected in Ghaziabad Apartment Water: A Growing Urban Sanitation Concern

Ghaziabad, July 2025:
In a recent inspection by the district health department, E. coli bacteria were detected in the water tanks of a high-rise apartment complex in Raj Nagar Extension, Ghaziabad, housing nearly 1,000 residents.

According to The Times of India report, six water samples collected on June 5 failed to meet safety standards for potable water. Despite a cleaning notice issued on June 9, follow-up tests conducted on July 5 again revealed the presence of E. coli contamination, indicating poor sanitation and ineffective wastewater management practices.

Experts say the presence of E. coli bacteria often results from leakage or improper disposal of domestic sewage, leading to serious health risks including diarrheal diseases and jaundice.

This incident highlights the urgent need for eco-friendly wastewater solutions that prevent bacterial contamination right from the source.

Setechbio Bio Septic Tanks provide a sustainable answer — treating sewage safely through natural bio processes that neutralize harmful bacteria before they reach the environment. With zero maintenance and odor-free performance, these systems ensure that homes and communities remain safe from contamination.
